“The subtle power of homeopathy is that it can stimulate the vital energy and healing tendency inside each of us.” - Federico Castelli, IACH

Federico is a classical homeopath who took a non-classical journey to the practice. While studying Oriental languages as an undergraduate student in Venice, Italy, Federico came in contact with homeopathy through the most unlikely of people - an eclectic dockworker. Vittorio Tommasi was studying homeopathy, Chinese medicine and acupuncture and passed on his passion for the gentle, but powerful curative approach. Federico was hooked.

Federico’s journey would take him from poetry, to theatre, to visual and, eventually, culinary arts. All the while he studied homeopathy on the side, curing friends and loved ones along the way. A trip to Brazil in 1987, turned into the start of a new chapter. He laid down roots, started a family, and opened, with the support of a doctor friend, his first homeopathic clinic in a remote village in one of the poorest areas of the country. There he treated over 3,000 people and became a living legend. People were in awe not only of homeopathy but also of the rapport that Federico developed with each patient through his in-depth investigation of their physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual and mental state.

In 2011, Federico decided to formalize his studies and returned to school to obtain a diploma in Classical Homeopathy from the world authority, George Vithoulkas at the International Academy of Classical Homeopathy in Greece. After obtaining his diploma, he moved with his wife and young son to Washington, DC where he welcomes patients to his home-based studio. He returns annually to Greece to stay abreast of developments in the field and exchange with other practitioners from around the globe.
